As a Head of the Department of Computer Science at AGH, I would like to express my warm welcome to all the participants of the Euro-Par virtual conference in Poland in 2020, organized by AGH University of Science and Technology together with the University of Warsaw.

Our Department is known as one of the best Computer Science education institutions in Poland, with a long tradition of research in the area of parallel and distributed computing. We cordially welcome the Euro-Par community and I am happy to see that the AGH University is active in the European community of parallel and distributed research.  Our Department is proud and delighted to note that Euro-Par, even in these difficult times, is able to inspire contacts and exchange of ideas between talented researchers and professionals with a wide variety of experience.

I would like to thank Maciej Malawski, Bartosz Baliś and their colleagues who helped co-organize Euro-Par this year and I am happy that our institutional support, professional attention and assistance allowed us to prepare such a successful event.
